Our client is currently looking to fill a Cost Analysis Manager Position in the Rancho Cucamonga, California area. The Company is very stable and growing and desires to hire a qualified candidate as soon as possible. 

Responsibilities:

The Cost Analysis Manager will be responsible for the controlling function, providing management with consolidated reports and analysis concerning sales, costs and profit and loss.  This includes operational financial reporting, bookings, inventories, pricing manufacturing overhead budgets, labor and materials, profit planning and cost variance analysis. Oversees the computerized systems for the location and acts as coordinator for all cost controlling/ financial data. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparation of monthly and Year-to-Date P&L, track reports and gross margin reconciliation by product line. Maintains variable cost files and price/volume variance analyses as well.
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance analysis to budget for several plants.
  • Maintains and coordinates Fixed Assets for several plants.
  • Responsible for month-end close and journal entry postings.
  • Oversees development and maintenance of standard manufacturing cost files for manufactured products for pricing, inventory and scrap valuation purposes.
  • Manages and controls Cost Accounting and related functions following the company’s policies and GAAP.
  • Recommends and implements cost accounting and internal control procedures within company policy.
  • Establishes uniform and consistent procedures to control and report inventory valuation (materials, labor and overhead) including perpetual inventory. Assure application of company’s obsolescence policy and identify problem areas.
  • Coordinates development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for all product lines. Develops policy and procedure for US overhead and direct labor fringe cost allocations to all product lines including labor  distribution of material cost and purchase price variance analysis. 

Requirements: 

  • BS degree in Accounting required.
  • 4 + years of related experience in a manufacturing environment required in a Cost Analysis/Control position with an emphasis on cost/controlling principles and accounting systems.
  • Strong understanding and prior experience with ERP business system and SAP highly desirable.
