Title:  Director of Marketing Communications (MarCom)

We have been retained to fill a Director of MarCom for a well-established international corporation.

 Reports to the Senior Vice President of Investor Relations.

  • This position has both service and policing function within the corporation.
  • Working with both Sales and Marketing within both divisional and business marketing, will take direction from them to produce and develop ideas and materials: data sheets, selector guides, organize trade shows, set up and maintain the WEB presence.
  • Develop and implement MarCom guidelines, plans and plicies to effectively promote the company's products and meet sales goals.
  • Will police the messages Sales and Marketing wants to publish. Review and suggest clear verbiage and message, and review all potential key markets to include.
  • Will need to build up trust and credibility both corporate and divisional with all Marketing, Sales and Senior Management.
  • Oversees strategic planning, development and coordination of all marketing communications programs to promote the sale of company products and further the company’s sales objectives.
  • Works closely with Marketing and Sales as well as Senior Management to define goals and develop strategies.
  • Exerts tight budget control while developing new programs.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operations of the department.
  • Develops plans to achieve global MarCom objectives utilizing appropriate cost savings methods and careful media planning with an eye to advertising expenditures, etc.
  • Approves budgets and capital expenditures as set by top management.
  • Recruits appropriate subordinate MarCom management group to ensure coverage of all MarCom functions.
  • Manage a department of greater than 18 MarCom professionals.
  • Must have a logical business sense – focusing on activities that bring a good return, and where to focus resources.


  • BS degree required in Marketing, Marketing Communications or related field, MBA a Plus.
  • 15 years of experience in MarCom with significant experience at the top organizational level.
  • Extensive supervisory experience with multiples direct reports at various levels.
  • Exceptional communications skill at all levels of the organization.
